The Asia News Network (ANN) was founded in 1999, with the support of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, to bring together the editors of English-language dailies in Asia. ANN is a network of 14 leading national daily newspapers that print a total of 15 million copies each day and reach over 50 million readers on a daily basis. That makes ANN the biggest newspaper network in the world.

AsiaNews, the weekly magazine, covers issues from business, politics, personalities, sports and social trends and has also a digital edition which can be downloaded from the website.

Council of Asian Press Institutes (CAPI)

Established in 1999, the Council of Asian Press Institutes (CAPI) is a network of press institutes and media organisations actively involved in training in Asia. It was founded at a strategic planning meeting of press institutes in Manila, Philippines, and organised under the auspices of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.

CAPI’s principal mandate is to develop and promote professional practice of journalism in Asia. As a council, it functions as a collegial body to determine its plans, activities and policies.

The primary goal of CAPI is aimed at creating opportunities for cooperation and collaboration between institutes, press bodies and other organisations of journalism practitioners through regional training seminars and workshops, forums and conferences, consultations and research studies, and sharing of human and technical resources.

Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism (ACFJ)

The Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism at the Ateneo de Manila University, also known as ACFJ, is dedicated to the promotion of excellence in journalism in Southeast Asia. Inaugurated in June 2000 with the help of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, ACFJ aims to foster a free, viable and responsible press that will nurture the public discourse essential to an informed practice of citizenship and democracy. Its three main priorities are: to promote excellence and professionalism in journalism, to ensure continuing professional growth of Southeast Asian journalists through training and education and to foster unity among Southeast Asian nations. Apart from offering onsite seminars and workshops, ACFJ also offers a master's degree in journalism, diploma courses in online and radio journalism, and short courses in investigative reporting, media and politics and similar topics. It is also set to launch a diploma course in photojournalism.

Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS, Singapore)

ISEAS was established as an autonomous organisation in 1968. It is a regional research centre for scholars and other specialists concerned with modern Southeast Asia and its wider geostrategic and economic environment. The aim of the Institute is to nurture a community of scholars interested in the region and to engage in research on the multi-faceted dimensions and issues of stability and security, economic development, and political, social and cultural change.

Southeast Asia is the geographical focus of the Institute. However, reflecting the trends of regional interdependence and globalisation, ISEAS' activities have expanded to include Southeast Asia's relations with other regions and the Asia-Pacific.

Over the years, the mission of ISEAS has grown to encompass the promotion of scholarship, research, and debate on the region's multi-faceted issues of stability and security,economic,development, and political,social and cultural change.The aim is not only to stimulate debate within scholarly circles, but also to enhance public awareness of the region and facilitate the search for viable solutions and policies to problems. To this end, the Institute's activities cover research and consultancy, conferences and seminars, public lectures and briefings, training and publications.

Institute for Strategic and Development Studies (ISDS, Manila)

The Institute for Development and Strategic Studies aims to contribute to international and regional peace and co-operation, and human well-being through co-operative research and advocacy, discussion, publication and training activities.

ISDS was founded in 1991 by a group of academics at the University of the Philippines as a response to the need for a continuing evaluation and interpretation of changes in national and global affairs. The institute maintains a multidisciplinary and multisectoral Council of Fellows. Apart from academics, the Council is composed of ambassadors, Foreign Service officers, businessmen, and individuals who have distinguished themselves in the public, private, and peoples sectors for their expertise and vision.
